This project was a workshop in collaboration with the Graphic Design Agency Studio Paola. They presented us the concept of an upcycling app for people who have no time to sell their clothes, as well a the strong artistic direction surrounding this concept. The challenge was to embrace this artistic direction, and create a full user path and an app design prototype in a week. I worked with my classmate Laurène to bring this idea to life.

We worked on a user path that would encompass onboarding and the different functionalities we wanted to incorporate into Flemme. We tried to design an experience that would be the most straightforward possible, because the target user was someone who had no time and liked using very efficient apps like Uber or Gorilla.

Laurène and I decided that we had to split the main path in two : either a selling path or buying path. I handled the "sell path", so that's what I will show here.

It was important that the selling path was the most streamlined part of the app, because it had to feel easy and fun. I worked on the working of the buttons with some friendly and familiar writing that gets along with the original direction of the concept. The art direction was all about big fonts and a limited color palette, so we pushed it hard while trying to stay in the accesibility standards.

The main challenge of adapting the artistic direction was that it was very focused on marketing and print. Accessibility and familiarity was a huge focus point of our reflexion and design.

Here we can clearly see the two main user paths that we focused on: in white, the selling path and in dark green the buying path.

Additionally to the app design, we also created a landing page that explains the concept of Flemme and redirects to the app. This was the occasion to use more of the artistic direction in terms of layout and images.
